Facelift Surgery

A defined beautiful jaw and neckline are key factors to a youthful appearance. However, from 40 onwards, aging will become more visual in the face and neckline. Different factors may have increased facial aging more in some people than others. Smoking, sun exposure, genetics and weight fluctuations may have had an influence on our appearance. A correctly performed facelift restores youthfulness that has faded over time. In expert hands, the once inevitable tell-tale signs of facial aging can now be overcome, reversing 10 to 15 years of aging.

We will assess what type of procedure would be best for you and use image manipulation software to show you examples of what can be achieved. We perform all types of facelifts: Mini-lift, S-lift, MACS-lift, Short Flap Facelift, and Composite/Deep plane technique facelift.

Dr Faris spent a one-year operative fellowship in the Facial Cosmetic Surgery Centre-Harvard Medical School, Boston, where he enhanced his expertised in mini-lift, short flap techniques and in Composite/Deep Plane Techniques by world experts in Facial and Facelift surgery.

Mini–lifts are performed under local anaesthetic in under 2 hours of surgery. They are excellent for minor aging changes and have the advantage that they require very minimal downtime.

Composite/Deep Plane Facelift techniques are our favoured approach for Facelift Surgery for moderate signs of aging.

This approach has been designed to give the best results while being a safe procedure with minimal bruising. The Composite/Deep plane technique requires specialized surgical expertise and experience. The operation is performed under general anaesthesia which allows the surgeon to use the natural deep spaces of the face thereby reducing tissue damage to the skin and superficial tissues. Patients have improved mid-face aging, less bruising, swelling, bleeding and a quicker recovery time. The tension stitches are placed on the deep layers avoiding tension on the skin to minimize scarring. This surgery is technically more demanding than the other types of facelifts and requires superior skill and expertise in handling the deeper tissue layers. Only a select few centres in Europe and around the world perform Composite / Deep plane facelifts. Most patients are able to return to work within 2 weeks. Pain is minimal and most patients only require paracetamol for 3 days post-surgery.
